A beautiful sandy beach is only 50 meters away, accessible via a private path, and can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes, making it perfect for families and children. The villa, clad in local stone and tastefully furnished, is bright and peaceful. Summary: Monica was a wonderful host, very communicative and just lovely! Our multigenerational family enjoyed staying in her beautiful home. The kitchen was fully stocked and she even left tea, coffee, cakes, homegrown tomatoes and wine for us! She sent information about local beaches and restaurants to us before and throughout our stay. The house is located overlooking the Cala Galera port. The air conditioning was perfect during the July heatwave. We walked to the beach almost daily down the path from the house. A couple of caveats: there are many steps to get to the house and to the beach, the plumbing can temperamental (Mr. Bartoli arrived within 15 minutes to help us with one issue), the road to the house is narrow and bumpy - all issues we managed and grew accustomed to! Porto Ercole is a short drive away, with wonderful shops and restaurants. We took road trips to Saturnia natural springs, Grosseto and more - just wish we had more time to explore the area! Thank you Monica for a beautiful stay.
