Summary: It is a beautiful stone house in the countryside above Florence. It was quiet and peaceful with a lovely view out over the mountainous countryside. Access to the house is up a one lane rough dirt road. When we were there in December, it got a little muddy and challenging (but we like a good challenge). It was about half an hour to get into Florence and about 15 minutes down to the main road for trips to other towns. The house itself is excellent and charming, very comfortable, functional and well constructed. There is a fireplace, books and games, and plenty of cooking and eating equipment. The bedrooms are on floors above the main living area. The view from the upstairs bedroom is fantastic. We give this place a full 5 out of 5.
