Summary: We stayed at Franck’s house for 6 nights. The house itself is beautifully decorated, clean and fresh. It is in a very quiet neighbourhood. Plenty of room for our family with each of our children able to have their own bedroom. All modern facilities are there, coffee machines, washer/drier and enough cooking equipment to make gourmet meals if you want, including a decent bbq. We used the house as a base to explore the Bordeaux area. Getting into the town centre entailed a 15 minute walk into Pessac centre then jumping on board the tram. We also visited Arcachon for a beach day, Bergerac to see a bit of the Dordogne region and of course the city of Bordeaux. There is also a great shopping centre in Mérignac close by which my family enjoyed. Communications with the owners were very good and they always responded promptly. I would highly recommend this place for visiting Bordeaux without the hustle and bustle of staying in the town centre.
