Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The location is great for us. We know the area and have stayed on Bella Vida numerous times. The villa adequately suited our needs. It held almost everything we could want. It was clean and tidy when we arrived and large enough for our small party of 4. I’d say it would suit up to 8 people comfortably. . Kitchen was well equipped and the little starter pack of amenities helped a lot (liquid soap, washer and dishwasher tablets etc). It was aesthetically pleasing to look at. Lovely estate. Gated with security. Used the gym in the clubhouse.

Negative: We paid for pool heat but for the entirety of the stay the pool was green. It was therefore a total waste of money. We did complain and it was resolved the day before departure but we still couldn’t use it for 24 hours once treated so we didn’t get to use it at all. Some machinery had supposedly got struck by lightening on the day of our arrival meaning the jacuzzi drained and both the pool and jacuzzi weren’t being filtered. No refund for pool heat was offered, which I thought was the least that could have been done. We also had a pair of trainers stolen from the pool area so maybe lockable (code entry) gates would be better as we were unaware that they could be opened from the outside.

Summary: Villa great, pool enjoyment hindered.
