Summary: We really enjoyed staying at Philippe and Florence's home near St Geyrac. The house itself is well maintained and offers plenty of space. We enjoyed being in the naturally lit kitchen (skylights) and outdoor shaded table. Our kids loved the freedom of staying inside to read kid books, play baby foot or board games (monopoly junior, mille bornes, etc), or going outside to enjoy a game of crickets, badminton, etc. They also like spending time in the TV nook with very comfy reclining sofas. I do not think we discovered every corner of the large grounds: a 1-hole golf course, a swimming pool, a tree-house are a few of the highlights. You can also just stroll around the property. The kitchen is well stocked for more than the basics (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, coffee pods, paper towels, etc). This is in kitchen that you can really use, not to mention the barbecue. The house is located between 30 minute and 1h drive of all major attractions (Lascaux, Bergerac, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Sarlat, Perigueux, Castelnaud, etc), which was very practical to discover different parts of Perigord. At no more than 10 min driving, you had a little village with a good butcher, bakery and between this, the surrounding local markets and a couple of trips to a bigger supermarket, we had more than enough. Florence and Philippe have been very responsive to all our questions or requests and accommodating. They also keep a selection of magazine that highlights must see. A very nice stay!
