Moscatino has two floors each of 22sqm plus a storeroom. Upstairs is the bedroom (see 'accommodation') and bathroom with shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin. Below is a living room with corner kitchen, dining table, settee and wood burning stove. There is central heating throughout. The kitchen is well furnished with oven, hob, large fridge with freezer compartment and sink. Plenty of crockery, cutlery etc for 3 or 4 people.
The store room houses outdoor furniture and portable barbeque. Balcony and outdoor area for sitting plus access to the main olive grove area which is terraced and swimming pool. Washing machine in cellar of adjacent house.
Moscatino may be rented on its own, or in conjunction with Casa San Moscato (sleeps 9).
The properties are situated at Pariana, about 15 kms. east of Lucca. There is a private pool available to occupants. The property is peaceful and secluded in hilly country with views of surrounding wooded hills. Around the houses are several hectares of terraced olive groves with the swimming pool. A wooded hill screens the houses from the village.
This part of Tuscany is still relatively undiscovered and in the village the rustic life goes on as it always has, with forestry and olive husbandry. The area is much more hilly than the more southerly parts of Tuscany - it is not so stiflingly hot as the plain and for walkers there is direct access to pleasant hills with the Appennines within easy reach. 30 mins Lucca, 1 hr Florence, Pisa, coast. Excellent local cuisine. All shopping 20 mins.
