The village of Strettoia, historically famous for the via Francigena, a famous pilgrim route from Canterbury to Rome, and Second World War Linea Gotica, has a wonderful true Italia atmosphere about it, complete with local bars and pizzerias and a traditional grocery store.
The main villa has four spacious bedrooms which can sleep comfortably eight guests equipped with a centralised air-conditioning and heating systems. The internal living and dining rooms are light, spacious and elegantly decorated with large glass windows overlooking the garden and the sea, and the house has some restored period features. There is a fully equipped large modern kitchen with cooking island that can also be enjoyed as a breakfast bar, a large dining room that also has a designer glass fireplace and a keyboard piano for entertainment.
In addition to the main house there are two annexes. One, is located just one step in front of the main house has a small bedroom and an ensuite bathroom. The second annex is a few steps away by the pool has an open plan studio layout with a double bedroom, a kitchen, an ensuite bathroom and a sauna.
There is an stone outdoor dining table for twelve guests and plenty of outdoor sofas and sitting areas. The property is equipped with a modern audio and video systems, alarm and video security.
Surrounded by breathtaking views, magical garden pathways, classic stone courtyards and olive trees, the beautiful 10 metre turquoise heated swimming pool is accessible form all bedrooms and living rooms and offers shade via an electronic controlled awning sunshade. There is an traditional stone building ideal for keeping local agricultural products (such as wines, olive oil and honey).
This is an idyllic setting for a family holiday or for a group seeking heath activities such as incredible hiking, cycling, yoga and cooking getaways. The house can cater comfortably for groups of up to 12 persons and we also offer a full concierge service with private chef, housekeeper, masseuse, yoga and pilates instructors, babysitters and private driver should you require these extras. For ease of access to the sea, an umbrella or a tent can be arranged at one of Forte’s private beach clubs.
