Positive: Fantastic location in an ancient fortification that was carefully restored by the heir and his family. The chalet has everything needed for a comfortable stay for a family of 4. The friendly proprietor surprised us with a free bottle of local red wine and shared some historic facts of Montecarlo. It is located in a quaint hill top town not too far from Lucca.

Negative: The extra sofa bed was not comfortable and the place is not really suited for 6 adults. The kitchen utensils were somewhat lacking. Parking was restricted after 20h00 at night and we had to move our cars by then to the public parking area further away.

Summary: Small hill top town - great location!
