Enjoy our Windmill Cabin, which offers updated style with quiet, countryside living. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is a perfect getaway. Use the Wi-fi to stay connected or leave the world behind and enjoy the serenity and quiet.

Watch DVDs or streaming services on the big screen TV. Or move to the outdoor patio and watch the ‘really big’ natural spaces. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, cookware and spices. Laundry room equipped with washer/dryer and big enough for storage needs.

Mornings are brilliant sunrises and sunsets are colorful events followed by a canopy of a billion stars. This is no boring flatland. Hike the hills and valleys and you are likely to spot Whitetail deer, rabbits, turkeys, raccoons, roadrunners and more.

Improve your accuracy at the Archery Range (200 yards from the house). Hike or take the short drive (about 1 ½ mi) to the Recreation Center. Test your skill with horseshoes, shoot some pool or best your friend at ping pong or many other games. The swimming pool is cool relief on a hot day. Recreation Center is only for guests of our two houses.

Enjoy the entire house, the Recreation Center, the Swimming Pool and the hiking trails on 486 acres of hills, ravines and creeks.

Go left or right and in 9 miles be cooling off in the Llano River. Another 9 miles to the left and you can explore the historic town of Mason. This small town has plenty of history and 2 museums. Antiques and collectibles or just plain ‘stuff’ can be found in multiple shops. Mason boasts a number of restaurants and a movie theater. Time it right and you may also enjoy a music concert in the historic Odeon Theater.

London Grocery and Grill is 18 miles from gate. Select one of the five tables and get ready for some good grub. The German town of Fredericksburg is a great shopping destination or just stroll the sidewalks and enjoy the many restaurants in town. Kerrville is in the same area. This area is also home to countless wineries where you can lounge and enjoy the best of Texas wines.

Summary: We wanted a place to stay close enough to the rock crawl but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet! What a great, relaxing place with amazing views! We had a great time and would definitely recommend!
