This is a holiday house in a quiet cul-de-sac, just 12km from Pisa. The house faces south and is in a hilly area (Monte Pisano), which is interesting for mountain bikers. It is in an olive grove and is very quiet, without any traffic.
There is a private garden with shelter from the sun, a table, two sun loungers and a parking space next to the house. A private road leads to the house, which is at ground level. The owners live next door from May to October.
The house measures 75m² and has two bedrooms with double beds (180 x 200cm). The main room, through which you enter the apartment, is the kitchen with a gas stove, sink with hot water, small oven, coffee machine, small fridge, microwave and a dining table with four chairs. The bedroom provides access to the bathroom with a shower, WC, washbasin and bidet. Wireless Internet access is also available.
There are good bus connections to Pisa and Calci. Calci and the surrounding medieval villages of Montemagno and Nicosia offer a range of sights, such as monasteries and churches. In Calci you can visit a beautiful Natural History Museum or one of the many music festivals that are held in summer. Calci is the centre of Valgraziosa, a valley which culminates at Monte Pisano, which is also well-known as a trip destination and is of interest for hiking and mountain biking. Italian-speaking guides are available for mountain biking. From Calci it is an hour by car to Florence, two hours to Siena and 40 minutes to the sea.
The nearest town is Calci 600 metres away, within easy walking distance. The roads are quiet. You can find all the essentials nearby, such as a supermarket, pharmacy, post office, bank, bars, police, a weekly market on Wednesdays, a tourist office, hairdresser, bakery, restaurants, pizzeria, swimming pool and tennis court.
