Summary: This is complicated. We had stayed at Crossroad Hotel before and found it to be excellent. This time, we did not have a great experience. The staff are very kind and accommodating, the room (we had a 3 person although we were only two people) was an excellent size. The fridge is at the widest part of the desk meaning you need to move the fridge to make use of the desk. Our room had a broken bathroom door handle (looks like screws to fix the handels were missing) and the water took a long time to come out hot from the sink tap. The shower was warm (if you put it to max). For one night we could put up with these inconveniences, but for more than that it would be a problem. The rumble from the trains for us was not a problem at all. It's background noise and to be honest its no worse than the traffic if you had a hotel on a busy street. I realise there is a cost in keeping a hotel in top-shape, and to keep the costs low enough to attract clients. I do hope that they can. It is a good hotel, the staff are excellent and the noise from the trains is not a problem. I hope they can make it the best place.
