The Villa Al Sole is part of the Agriturismo San Tommaso and is located on the sunny side of a hill 200 m above sea level. The absolute protagonist is the view of the endless valley and the SUN that from morning to evening creates wonderful atmospheres of light until sunset with breathtaking scenery. The typical Tuscan countryside with its cultivated hills, olive groves and vineyards will immerse you in a relaxing dimension to enjoy the dolce vita together with your friends or relatives.
We are 2 km from the village of Pomarance with shops, restaurants and cafes and 30 km from the sea and in a central position with respect to the most important cities of art such as Siena, Florence, Pisa, Lucca. In about 30 minutes you can reach Volterra, Massa Marittima, San Gimignano and the most important wine cellars in Tuscany. Ideal for trekking, cycling and horse riding. We are in the unmistakable scenery of the Val di Cecina, a land of ancient villages and numerous oases and nature reserves that surround the immediate surroundings. Just a few kilometres away are the springs of the Cecina river with wonderful stretches of water for bathing and enjoying unspoilt nature.
The property is part of an organic farm that produces extra virgin olive oil and quality wine that can be tasted and purchased directly at the villa on request.
There are 2 separate and independent villas on the property, each with its own private surrounding garden with furnished terrace, barbecue and parking space. The pool is shared but each villa has its own private part with sun loungers. The villas can be booked together exclusively for larger groups.
The park surrounding the farmhouse covers about 11,000 square metres on a hilly area with cultivated fields, a large olive grove and a small vineyard. The garden contains evergreen lawn areas and a multitude of plants, cypresses and many olive trees, forming the ideal setting for savouring the atmosphere of Tuscany.
The 16 x 8 m swimming pool is fenced in and has a waterfall, a whirlpool, a paved beach for swimming and a private shaded area with deck chairs and sun loungers for each flat or villa. The pool is sanitised with chlorine and can also be used at night thanks to lighting both inside and outside the pool. It will be available from the first Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
The farmhouse can be reached by car to the flats and has a private car park for larger vehicles as well.
On request we can organise breakfasts, lunches, dinners or tastings of local products.
Villa al Sole consists of 2 flats and 1 studio apartment and can accommodate up to 18 people. It has air conditioning in all rooms. Outside there is a loggia with table and chairs for everyone, a furnished garden with a panoramic view, a terrace with table and 2 barbecues. The swimming pool is shared but has a private part of the garden with deckchairs and sunbeds. There are 8 bedrooms (4 doubles and 4 rooms that can be used as quadruple, triple, twin or double), 5 bathrooms (each with shower, bidet, toilet, washbasin).
The Il Mandorlo flat is about 100 square metres, on the ground floor with a living room-kitchen with sofa and extendable table, two double rooms, two bathrooms with shower and a loft, closed on one side with curtains, with 4 single beds.
The flat Il Fico (about 120 sq m), on the ground floor with living room kitchen with sofa and extendable table, 2 bedrooms with double bed, 2 bathrooms with shower and 2 loft rooms closed on one side with curtains, one with double bed and one with 2 beds, if necessary it is possible to add 2 more single beds.
L'Olmo is a 36 sq m studio apartment with a separate entrance in the garden near the swimming pool. Outside it has a terrace with a covered pergola, table, deckchairs and a beautiful view. Inside is a comfortable double bed, a complete kitchen and table. It can accommodate 2 adults and one child with an extra bed.
The owner lives in the property and, in addition to taking care of the vineyard, the olive groves and the garden, he is always available whenever you need him.
In addition, our staff will be at your complete disposal 24 hours a day from arrival to departure and will provide you with all the information you need to make your holiday unforgettable.
