In the heart of the Old Antibes, a neighborhood a little apart hides near the covered market and the Promenade de l'Admiral de Grasse: the free commune of Safranier. This district composed of only a few streets is independent of the town of Antibes with its own mayor! Composed of village houses, restored in the rules of art, it breathes calm and breathes tranquility.
For the uninitiated, the free commune of Safranier is not easy to find. From the town hall of Antibes, go up the Cours Masséna under the covered market, then take on your right the Rue de la Pompe.
